about

This is a B-side to the "Frightened" sessions. It's an old song - the 2nd song Easter Island ever wrote. The first one was "Proud." For some reason it never made it onto any of the releases so far, but it's a special song to us. It represents a different era in the band's history, before a lot happened. We remember the first time Ethan showed the song to Asher, the first time they showed it to Nate, and the first time we practiced it together with our old drummer and bassist John and Andrew. It sat in the wings while our other songs got special treatment and exposure on records. We finally recorded it during "Frightened" with Patrick and Ryan(our new loving Easter Island family) and watched the texture of it change with the rhythm section in cool new ways. We hope you enjoy this track

It was engineered at 1093 Boulevard in July of 2011 by Patrick Ferguson. Richard Salino mixed it at Chase Park October of 2012
